Our A2L-optimized systems are designed for convenient, straightforward field installations with both mechanical and ESP+ intuitive control technology.
Our dual leak detection sensors and 24-volt A2L safety mitigation system are factory-installed to ensure optimal positioning and maximum safety.
Only two additional steps are added to your current installation process.
1. Install two safety shut-off valves on the line set outside of the walk-in cooler/freezer.
2. Connect two 24-volt wires from the SSOV (Safety Shut Off Valve) to the evaporator.

Only two additional steps are added to your current installation process:
1. Install two safety shut-off valves on the line set outside of the walk-in cooler/freezer.
2. Connect two low-voltage wires from the SSOV (Safety Shut Off Valve) to the evaporator.
We use quality leak detection components that require no sensor calibration or re-zeroing over a 15+ year lifetime.
A2L is mildly flammable requiring additional components to be added to the system to ensure its safety. We have developed an RDS (Refrigerant Detection System) with dual leak sensors and a 24 volt mitigation system.
When a sensor detects a refrigerant leak, the safety shut-off valves will isolate the evaporator to limit the releasable charge leaked and keep the evaporator fans running to circulate the air and dissipate the gas.
Our dual leak detection and 24 volt mitigation system exceeds the required standards and incorporates high quality safety mechanisms required for A2L refrigerants.

Our A2L-optimized evaporator and condensing unit systems utilize R-454A, R-454C, and R-455A.
We offer A2L-optimized systems across our entire product lineup. This includes evaporators, condensing units, multi-compressor units, condensers, coils, air handlers, heat reclaim systems, and parallel compressor systems.
A2L refrigerants are mildly flammable with a slow burn velocity (under 10 cm/s), making them less risky than highly flammable types. They require higher concentrations to be combustible and are not a significant hazard during everyday use; however, they are more flammable than A1 refrigerants. Safety measures, such as equipment design, technician training, and leak detection, are necessary.
We developed an RDS (Refrigeration Detection System) with dual leak sensors and a 24 volt mitigation system. When a leak is detected, safety shut-off valves isolate the evaporator, limiting refrigerant leakage while fans continue to circulate air and dissipate gas. Our mitigation strategy exceeds industry standards and includes high-quality safety features for A2L refrigerants.
